Layout of the Bible with Chronological Timelines
Layout of the Bible with Chronological Timelines
Understanding how the Bible is laid out can be daunting. We often look up books of the Bible in the table of contents, but may not understand how those books fit into the bigger story of the Bible.
Did you know that the 66 books of the Bible aren’t in perfect chronological order. Yes, overall the Bible is in “order” starting with the beginning in Genesis and ending in Revelation. But throughout it’s organized first by genre or type of literature and then chronologically (more or less).
This printable is created as a quick reference for you to print and keep in your Bible to help give you clarity on the full Bible layout and when the Old & New Testament books of the Bible took place.
Once printed two-sided (front and back) this handout includes:
Front: A layout of both the Old and New Testament and how the books are broken down into eight distinct sections.
Inside: Two chronological timelines - one of the Old Testament books and one of the New Testament books, to help your understanding of the order of when the books took place.
Back: Blank
Available as a digital download that can be printed at home.
