What is the CHARA Bible Study Guide?

The CHARA Bible Study Guide can be used as your go-to guide for personal or group Bible study on its own or as a supplement to any existing guided Bible study.

The hope and intent of the CHARA Bible Study Guide is to equip you to learn how to study the Bible. It does this by providing a handful of Bible study questions that fall in the categories of Context, History, Author, Research, and Apply, that you can use on any passage in the Bible.

The guide works well in groups with varying backgrounds and beliefs because it is designed to help you discover the original intended meaning and purpose of the text, which can diffuse tension when differences in personal interpretation arise.

What is a typical speaking/event honorarium for The Chara Project team?

1 session – $450

2-3 sessions (1 night stay*) – $850

4-5 sessions (1-2 night stay*) – $1,450

*Not including travel, accommodations and additional fees for events outside of Utah. The Chara Project is flexible and willing to discuss your specific budget and needs.

What should I expect when having The Chara Project come speak?

Most of The Chara Project’s sessions last around 90 minutes, but can be altered to fit your community’s needs. Our messages are meant for all faith backgrounds and ages with a mix of speaking, interaction and discussion time. We create an intentional environment where people can learn more about the Bible and its message.

Because of the discussion and interactive portions of our sessions, many of our sessions are built around tables or in a way that allows people to interact with each other.

Some of the sessions center around a Study Bible and handouts. We ask communities to help with printing any handouts needed for the sessions. As for Study Bibles, if needed for the session and your community can’t provide them, we have the option to bring sample Study Bibles for attendees to use during the event.

The Chara Project team will provide each participant with a CHARA Bible Study Guide booklet and point to the website for additional resources that will help participants grow in understanding the Bible.
